Google didn't really buy a pure competitor here. They bought their way into the mobile ad space buy snatching a company with 15,000+ publisher relationships. AdMob is a network not involved in search, part of GOOG's ever-increasing presence in display. Presents plenty of interesting conflicts, however, but a good mid-term tie in to their user-model for Droid (consumers get Droid platform, surf mobile web, get AdMob ads, GOOG makes $). MSFT/Y! don't care about this, they have their own networks of mobile sites. GOOG did NOT buy an agnostic platform for serving ads across any site, like they did with DoubleClick, they bought relationships with publishers and good mobile ad technology.

Mirror's Edge, Dead Space, will probably never see a sequel, and Battlefield : Bad Company (A game they will pump massive amount of money into now, but had little faith before) Metal of Honor, and tried tested and true formulas will begin to become milked.Here's to the gaming industry's future. Actually this is still true.Starbucks (or other major chains, Tullys, Peetes, Caribou, Seattles Best...etc) uses very average quality beans, and over roasts them, giving them a slightly bitter, but strong flavor.Coffee should actually be viewed more like a steak. You would never ask for a high quality steak to be well done. 'Well done' in this case means burnt, and imparting the smoky-grilled flavor. In a high quality steak you want to impart as little flavor as possible, and unlock the natural flavor.Same is true with coffee. If you have a cheap coffee, burn the hell out of it so it is bitter and nasty. If you have a high quality coffee you should roast it light, so when you are drinking it, you are tasting the coffee, not the 500 degrees.*also, 500 degrees is a pretty high temp. at my shop we usually go up to 470 for a good lighter roast.
