i remember hearing that florida is a state where if you declare bankruptcy or get sued, the courts can't seize your real estate assets to pay off the creditors/liability. it was when cash4gold tried to sue that website that had the accuastions from a former employee, and someone asked why it seemed like all the shady douchebag companies seem to be based in florida - and that was offered as an explanation.so it would make sense that people would throw all their money into real estate so that it couldn't be taken away, and then end up owing the state for the taxes on the property...!

I don't have any idea who the third guy is, but all the folks you quoted besides were famous expat/leftist types so it really isn't surprising that they would feel that way about patriotism! I mean, come on dude, I could probably find equally valuable writers in the canon like Hobbes or Thomas Moore or something who have nothing but wonderful things to say about patriotism.
