A simple google search on Nasa + 2012 reveals conflicting results. Whether you do your own research or just go by Father Google, the truth can never be known. Personally, I'm excited that the experiments and theories that suggested a supposed shift in global consciousness, telepathy, and the remote viewers employed by the US gov will become more mainstream and investigated. You can't deny that it is a fascinating subject, and you should not be required to wear a tin foil hat to investigate for yourself and make your own conclusions.

According to the article, Microsoft claims that they pulled the tool from their website because they are investigating / reviewing the matter. Presumably, they want it gone in the off-chance they did really violate the GPL. So I interpreted it not as an admission of guilt, but Microsoft proceeding just proceeding with extreme caution.!
