Gijs Dröge

A senior consultant in corporate communication and public affairs, Gijs Dröge has more than 25 years of experience in financial services, construction, real estate development, environment and energy. Recently senior consultant and director of Dröge & van Drimmelen, his clients have included TimeWarner, Ernst & Young, PGGM (pension fund), Bouwfonds MAB (property development), BAM Dredging, National Good Cause Lotteries, EasyJet, Eneco, Nuon, Dutch Central Bank, Heijmans (construction), GP Batteries, Saint Roch/Saint Gobain, and Royal Bank of Scotland.

Mr. Dröge, who is based in Amsterdam, Netherlands, is also a widely-published journalist, and serves on the board of some of Amsterdam's leading civic organizations.

In early 2009 Gijs has been involved in the building of a new company, Public Green, that helps companies and organizations with their corporate social responsibility and sustainable policies. The success of CSR and sustainability depends on the support by all stakeholders, including the public. This is why communications and public affairs play an important role. One of Public Green's first assignments is with a construction company that sees opportunities to introduce sustainable new houses, even now when the credit crisis has hit the housing market hard.

Gijs is also involved in various other activities, such as CCS, ESA (European Space Agency) and the Rotterdam Climate Initiative (supported by the Clinton Foundation).
