Colburn Aker founded the nations only partner-directed communications and marketing firm in 1983. Unique strategies, creative ideas, and extraordinary results are the hallmarks of his efforts for more than 500 clients.
In 1978, he managed one of the nations largest promotions of the Ten Tips For Energy Savings, involving the Alliance to Save Energy. In 2007, he promoted a green cup, the first of its kind, for Green Mountain Coffee Roasters. Clients have included Ford Motor Company, Honeywell International, and a score of energy companies.
Highlights of Colburns service has been the best brand promotion program worldwide, effective crisis communications, designing successful image strategies, saving clients large sums from public affairs program, creating more than 100 new public relations programs, exceeding sales projections, launching first-of-their-kind programs, and managing the nations largest grassroots PR campaign.
Colburn is a lawyer, lobbyist, and public relations professional. He served as a staff member to a presidential candidate and to a member of Congress, managed a successful election campaign for the Senate, and was an executive of Hill and Knowlton in Washington, DC.
His clients have included Ford Motor Company, Accenture, BP, DuPont, Gateway, Mazda, Monsanto, Newspaper Association, Revlon, Rolls-Royce, U.S. Mint, Olympic Committee, and more than 100 industry associations.
